The Maths-Innovation webinars of SMILES (Sorbonne University, University of Paris, CNRS) aim to foster innovation by facilitating companies' access to the latest advances in mathematical research. Each week, a university mathematics researcher presents his/her research work and its potential applications.

This first series of interventions begins in January 2021 on the topic of mathematics for finance and insurance. The webinars will take place on Zoom on Thursdays at 1 p.m. for a 15 to 30 minute presentation followed by a discussion with the speaker.

The second webinar on 21 January will deal with the topic "Darwinian model risk and reverse stress testing" and will be presented by Stéphane Crépey.
