How can we ensure that technology serves the common good and empowers people? How can we shape the new wave of technology brought by AI?
If you are interested in using technology for the common good of humanity, join our hackathon on 6-7 December 2024!
The British Council, the computer science research laboratory LIP6 and the artificial intelligence research centre SCAI (Sorbonne University) are delighted to invite you to take part in a hackathon aimed at shaping the future of technology. You will learn about emerging technologies such as AI, quantum physics, synthetic biology, automation and their impacts. Emerging technologies are having an increasing effect on us all, so how can we shape this wave?
During this hackathon, you will learn how to anticipate and guide the development and use of a variety of emerging technologies.
Tech for Humanity aims to equip the younger generation with the knowledge and skills to imagine a world where technology serves as a catalyst for positive change.
We invite individuals aged 18-35 who are passionate about new technologies and interested in innovation and creative problem-solving to work together in interdisciplinary teams and formulate AI-based recommendations on how technology can be used for the common good. You do not need to be an AI specialist to participate.
This event will be held in English.
The hackathon will take place on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th December from 9am to 6pm at the Pierre and Marie Curie Campus, 4 Place Jussieu, 75005 Paris.
A launch party will take place at the British Council in Paris on Thursday 5th December from 6pm to 8pm.
To participate in the hackathon, complete the online form before Friday 22nd November.
