The AI4Nutrition Summer School aims to explore how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to study metabolism, microbiota and metabolic diseases such as diabetes and obesity in a nutritional context.

The program includes presentations by experts in the field, digital practical work, and moments of exchange and discussion. The topics covered include the analysis of genomic and metabolomic data, nutrition, the impact of the microbiota on health, new strategies for the treatment of diabetes and obesity and the evaluation of the effectiveness of different therapeutic interventions and nutritional.

The school will be led by a group of Quebec and French scientists specialized in computer science, genomics, metabolomics, microbiota and nutrition, involved in high-level research projects that rely on the use of AI for analyzing biomedical data and understanding the impact of nutrition on health.

This initiative is part of the strategic partnership between Université Laval and Sorbonne Université as well as the Year of Franco-Quebec Innovation 2023.
