The International Unit of Mathematical and Computer Modeling of Complex Systems (UMMISCO UMI 209) brings together dynamic and passionate researchers, engineers and administrative staff. They work in France as well as in developing countries, in our centers in Senegal, Morocco, Cameroon and  Vietnam, among others. They develop and use cutting-edge approaches in mathematics (Dynamic Systems, ODE, PDE, etc.) and computer science (AI, Agent-Based Modeling, Machine Learning, etc.), addressing questions related to sustainability science. UMMISCO specializes in modeling with challenging applications in the fields of health and environmental sustainability.

UMMISCO participates in numerous national and international networks, and is also a member of SCAI (Sorbonne Center for Artificial Intelligence). It collaborates very closely with the INSERM Nutriomics unit and the Clinical Investigation Center (CIC) at the Pitié Salpêtrière Hospital in a translational research program around the analysis of multi-omics data, including imaging and biosignals such as electrocardiograms by artificial intelligence approaches. The CIC is a leader in the field of drug-induced arrhythmia and participates in numerous clinical studies.
