A Junior Professor Chair (CPJ) is open at Sorbonne University on the profile "Mathematical foundations of computing and data sciences".
The candidates sought are experts in one or more of the following topics: high performance scientific computing, statistical learning, high-dimensional data processing and optimization, computational geometry, innovative numerical methods, etc. (non-exhaustive list).
This Chair is for a period of 3 years, renewable for 3 years, with a reduced teaching service (64 hours per year), substantial means of research support, and the possibility of recruitment to a professorship at the end of the contract. The salary is intermediate between that of a lecturer and a professor.
We wish to recruit a young researcher who already has a good research experience, who has spent time abroad, whose degree of autonomy and scientific depth makes it possible to consider obtaining a Habilitation to Direct of Research during the term of the contract, and likely to lead high-level research activities in the fields concerned.
The host laboratories mainly targeted are the
Jacques-Louis Lions Laboratory (LJLL), and the
Statistical Probability and Modeling Laboratory (LPSM).

Une Chaire de Professeur Junior (CPJ) est ouverte à Sorbonne Université sur le profil "Fondements mathématiques des sciences du calcul et des données".
Les candidats recherchés sont des experts d'une ou plusieurs des thématiques suivantes : calcul scientifique haute performance, apprentissage statistique, traitement des données et optimisation en grande dimension, géométrie computationnelle, méthodes numériques innovantes, etc (liste non exhaustive).
Cette Chaire est d’une durée de 3 ans, renouvelable 3 ans, avec un service d’enseignement réduit (64h par an), des moyens conséquents de soutien à la recherche, et possibilté de recrutement sur un poste de professeur à l’issue du contrat. Le salaire est intermédiaire entre celui d’un maître de conférence et d'un professeur.
Nous souhaitons recruter une jeune chercheuse ou un jeune chercheur ayant déjà une bonne expérience de recherche, ayant fait des séjours à l'étranger, dont le degré d’autonomie et de profondeur scientifique permette d’envisager l’obtention d’une Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches pendant la durée du contrat, et susceptible de diriger des activités de recherche de haut niveau dans les domaines concernés.
Les laboratoires d’accueil principalement visés sont le
Laboratoire Jacques-Louis Lions (LJLL), et le
Laboratoire de Probabilités Statistique et Modélisation (LPSM).
