Context of the Call for Expressions of Interest

The Health Data Hub (HDH) is tasked with facilitating and securing access to health data, in a manner that respects patients' rights and ensures transparency with civil society. Among its key initiatives, the SNDS Catalogue represents a major advancement for the health research ecosystem.

The SNDS Catalogue brings together copies of databases of interest for research, which can be linked to the main SNDS database when possible. It enables project leaders to access structured and documented data within a simplified and harmonized access framework. This system has been developed iteratively in collaboration with data-producing stakeholders and now serves as a key lever for the development of innovative projects in public health, epidemiology, and artificial intelligence applied to healthcare.

Launched after several years of work and consultation, the SNDS Catalogue now operates within a stabilized regulatory framework, with an initial list of 22 databases included by ministerial decree, selected based on their scientific relevance, quality, and potential impact on the healthcare system.

To realize and enhance the value of the SNDS Catalogue, the Health Data Hub is launching a Call for Expressions of Interest (CEI) to support pilot projects reusing these databases. The aim of this call is to demonstrate the scientific and societal value of health data sharing, by fostering the emergence of concrete use cases.

Objectives of the Call for Expressions of Interest

Responding to the Call for Expressions of Interest

This Call for Expressions of Interest (CEI) offers a valuable opportunity for project leaders to access a leading catalogue of health data, within a secure and state-of-the-art environment. Selected projects will not only benefit from an advanced technological platform for storing, analyzing, and linking data, but also from financial support of approximately €100,000 per project, along with personalized guidance throughout the 24-month study period.

By participating, you will be able to:

This call is open to all researchers and stakeholders in the health sector who wish to use these data for the public good. We especially encourage projects that have a direct impact on improving healthcare practices, prevention strategies, or driving innovation in the medical field.

How to Apply

Interested project leaders may submit their proposals — under the conditions described below — via the dedicated platform on Démarche Simplifiée. A committee of experts will select projects based on their scientific relevance, potential impact, and feasibility within the framework of this CEI.
