Call For Projects
Intelligence Artificielle pour les Risques Émergents
Chair Assurabilité des Risques Émergents
The Chair Assurabilité des Risques Emergents (CARE) is the result of a partnership between Allianz France, the Fondation du Risque and Ensae Institut Polytechnique de Paris. This multi-disciplinary research project, jointly piloted, aims to fuel research into transforming the model, making prevention more effective, strengthening support for the public, and studying the viability of risk-sharing solutions in order to offer the greatest number of people an appropriate level of protection.
The CARE Chair is launching a call for research projects in 2025, focusing on the use of artificial intelligence in the analysis and coverage of emerging risks. This call is open to the entire academic community, with no restrictions in terms of disciplines or methodological approaches, provided that the project in question fits into the theme, and can contribute to the Chair's research areas:
In its selection of projects, the steering committee will pay particular attention to those that fit into the following themes:
Selected research projects will receive funding of up to €10,000 each. By applying, project leaders undertake, if selected, to present and discuss their work with the CARE Chair's partners, at the latter's request. They will also mention its financial support in their publications and communications.
Projects must be mainly led by academic researchers, with at least one researcher affiliated to a French academic institution. Priority will be given to innovative projects exploring themes or mobilizing approaches that have been little explored. Likewise, for projects of equal quality and interest, the jury will give priority to applications for which the support provided by the Chair is a determining factor in the project's success.
Applicants are therefore invited to highlight in their application the added value expected from the support provided by the CARE Chair. Finally, project leaders are invited to present an indicative timetable for the conduct of the work, specifying, where appropriate, the timeframe within which initial intermediate results are likely to be presented and discussed.
