PostGenAI@Paris: Distinguished Scientific Fellowship Program on AI and Society
The PostGenAI Distinguished Fellowship Program is an integral part of the PostGenAICluster, hosted by Sorbonne University in collaboration with the Paris Institute for Advanced Study (IEA de Paris), Sciences Po, and the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF). This program is designed to attract outstanding international researchers and practitioners to contribute to the Cluster’s mission of addressing the societal dimensionsof artificial intelligence.
Background and purpose:
With PostGenAI, Sorbonne University and its partners aim to become global leaders in interdisciplinary AI research. The residency program is a cornerstone of this endeavour, fostering collaborations between eminent scientists and the vibrant research community at Sorbonne University. The program focuses on theoretical, methodological, and applied aspects of AI with a strong emphasis on its ethical, cultural, and societal impacts. It offers
splendid conditions to top scientists to come to Paris, in residence, and work on the societal aspects of AI in collaboration with our interdisciplinary PostGenAI teams. PostGenAI fellows invited by the program will participate actively in the AI Cluster’s scientific program, which integrates research, education, and innovation with the support of academic, industrial, and socio-economic partners. They are also expected to develop high-impact projects (national, European, or international) in collaboration with one or more members of the community during or at the conclusion of their residency.
