The Sorbonne Cluster of Artificial Intelligence (SCAI) is launching a call for proposals to fund 14 PhD positions, with recruitment planned for the start of the 2025 academic year.
This new era of AI goes beyond generating content to understand and interact more autonomously and contextually adapted to its environment. PostGenAI@Paris focuses on three main areas: disruptive technologies, health and resilient societies.
Phase 1: Call for Doctoral Research Projects
Eligibility Criteria
The call is open to doctoral supervisory teams, provided that at least one member holds an HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches). Co-supervision is strongly recommended to encourage interdisciplinary collaboration. All members of the doctoral supervisory team must belong to research units affiliated with the institutions that are part of the PostGenAI@Paris project.

Application Requirements
Applications must be submitted via this link. Doctoral research proposals must be submitted in PDF format, written in english or french, and must not exceed 2 pages. The document should include details on the scientific context and objectives, justification of the scientific approach, alignment with PostGenAI@Paris project’s scientific missions and the desired candidate profile.
Evaluation and Selection:
Doctoral research proposals approved by the doctoral schools will be reviewed by a jury of academics affiliated with the PostGenAI@Paris consortium. Pre-selected projects will be published on the Sorbonne University website and the websites of consortium members.
Phase 2: Call for Doctoral Candidates
Once the projects are published online, interested candidates must submit their applications directly to the respective project leader. Candidates selected by the project leader will then be required to complete an online form (link to be provided) and will be invited to attend an interview with a jury.
