CMQe stands for "Campus des Métiers et des Qualifications d'excellence," which translates to Campus of Excellence for Vocational Skills and Qualifications. The creation of the Campus of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence (AI) involves the structuring and labeling of the CMQe (2022), with the application process underway and scheduled for submission in 2023-2024.

The campus will encompass various domains, including education, research, innovation, and the dissemination of scientific and technical culture, facilitated by a digital third-place environment. The coordination of the campus will be carried out by Sorbonne University (SU) and the Paul Valéry secondary school.

The community involved will consist of public partners in education and research, as well as private partners in the Île-de-France region, with support from the City of Paris, the Île-de-France region, and the academic region.

The campus will focus on various activities such as providing education and training in AI, conducting research, fostering innovation, promoting the dissemination of scientific and technical knowledge, and facilitating collaboration among educational institutions, research organizations, and industry partners. It aims to develop advanced AI skills, support the application of AI in different sectors, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the region.
