Multiparametric Strategies against Antibiotic Resistance in Tuberculosis
The ANR has just selected the MustArt project. His ambition is to address at the same time the creation of a new polytherapeutic regimen better adapted to this multifaceted pathogen than the current treatments, the development of diagnostic tools to evaluate its performances in vivo and in vitro, and the ability to monitor the development of drug resistance during the treatment.
In this project, AI and Deel Learning techniques will be iplemented to development of new tuberculosis regimens. These techniques will facilitate and accelerate the costly task of analysing large amounts of data compiled in the project and reveal new connections and approaches that are not evident to the human observer. This alternative guidance is a new resource for human inquiry, enabling us to access findings from historical databases and during the project development in a timely and cost-effective manner. Understanding, causation and systematization will still remain human tasks, but AI and DL can substantively contribute to optimize results.
