The Assas PhD Students and Doctors Association (ADDA) is pleased to invite you to its annual conference, which will take place on Wednesday, June 3 and Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Paris-Panthéon-Assas University, in the auditorium at 87 rue Notre-Dame-des-Champs, Paris.
This conference will offer a transdisciplinary reflection at the crossroads of law, political science, and digital sciences, centered around one pivotal question: how can democratic and digital innovations be placed and kept "under control"?
Program Overview:
-
Wednesday, June 3 — Democratic Innovations Featuring presentations on direct democracy, citizens' assemblies, sortition (civic lotteries), deliberation, participatory mechanisms, and the democratic impacts of artificial intelligence and digital platforms.
-
Thursday, June 4 — Digital Innovations Featuring presentations dedicated to algorithmic governance, AI ethics, European regulation of algorithms, transparency, technical explainability, and the transformation of research practices in the era of generative AI.
Professors, senior lecturers, researchers, postdocs, PhD candidates, and practitioners will come together to share and cross-examine their perspectives on these contemporary challenges.
