AN OPERATIONS RESEARCH COMPETITION FOR STUDENTS
At the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées

Take part in the ninth edition of KIRO, a competition organized by the École des Ponts Computer Science Club, in partnership with Califrais, the Fondation des Ponts, and the CERMICS laboratory.
This competition is open to students interested in tackling a real-world operations research problem.

In a few words, KIRO means:

• 6 hours of problem-solving in teams of 3 students
• A chance to work on a real business challenge
• The opportunity to win prizes totaling €3,000

Schedule

Registration Deadline : Registrations will close on Wednesday, November 11 at 11:59 p.m. No registrations will be accepted after this deadline.

The Session
This ninth edition will take place either on-site at the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Champs-sur-Marne or remotely via Discord on Thursday, November 12, 2025.

12:30 p.m.
Welcome of participants and presentation of the challenge by the partner company.

1:00 p.m.
Start of the competition.

6:30 p.m.
During the final half-hour, access to the live scoreboard will be frozen.

7:00 p.m.
End of the competition — score submissions will be closed.

7:30 p.m.
Announcement of results, award ceremony at the École des Ponts, followed by a friendly buffet.

Each team must provide the following information when registering:

• The full names of all team members.
• An email address to confirm the registration.
• This information is required for the proper organization of the competition.
• Participants may exercise their rights under the French Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978 (as amended) by writing to [email protected].
