The ObTIC project-team is organizing digital workshops for the year 2022-2023 with a series of thematic interventions related to the digital humanities (automatic language processing, machine learning, corpus analysis, etc.).

Each workshop is in the form of a presentation, followed by a practical session.

Programming in Python language: manipulation of textual data

Summary:

This series of hands-on sessions is intended for beginning researchers and students. They make it possible to discover the basics of Python and to write the first codes for the manipulation of textual data.

Workshop October 24, 2022 (2 p.m.-4 p.m.):

Title: Introduction to Python

Program:

  • Install Python and an IDE, work on Google Colab
  • Variants and types (numbers and strings)
  • Lists (tables and dictionaries)
