"Qui a peur de l'intelligence artificielle? Penser par soi-même à l'ère des machines"

Cette journée d'étude est organisée par le collectif interuniversitaire de recherche HUMANITER et la SoFHIA (société des hispanistes et ibéro-américains français). Les espaces hispanophones et lusophones qui intègrent les mondes ibéro-américains sont riches de plusieurs centaines de langues et de variantes de toutes sortes. La problématique de l'IA, à travers notamment la traduction automatique et les questions de multilinguisme, de variations, de langue standard, etc. les intéresse tout particulièrement.
Cette journée d'étude à laquelle prendra part François Yvon de la Faculté des Sciences et Ingénierie vise aussi, notamment à partir des questions de traduction automatique, à engager des discussions autour de possibles collaborations scientifiques entre linguistes et informaticiens autour de l'IA.

"Who's afraid of artificial intelligence? Thinking for yourself in the age of machines"

This study day is organized by the interuniversity research collective HUMANITER and SoFHIA (society of French Hispanists and Ibero-Americans). The Spanish-speaking and Portuguese-speaking spaces that integrate the Ibero-American worlds are rich in several hundred languages and variants of all kinds. The problem of AI, notably through automatic translation and questions of multilingualism, variations, standard language, etc. is of particular interest to them.
This study day in which François Yvon from the Faculty of Science and Engineering will take part also aims, particularly based on questions of machine translation, to initiate discussions around possible scientific collaborations between linguists and computer scientists around AI.
