2 French-German-Japanese projects on AI selected

The National Research Agency (ANR, France), Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft e.V. (DFG, Germany) and the Japanese Science and Technology Agency (JST), signed an agreement in April 2019 in Tokyo concerning a call for projects on Artificial Intelligence (AI), a priority topic for these three countries, to encourage transnational approaches.
In the frame of this call, 36 proposals were submitted and 9 were selected, including 2 projects coordinated by Sorbonne University on the French side :
- The PANORAMA project (adaPtive Artificial iNtelligence fOR humAn coMputer interAction), coordinated by Jean-Claude Martin (Université Paris Sud & LIMSI laboratory) and by Catherine Pelachaud (Sorbonne Université & ISIR), and involving the University of Augsburg (Germany) and the Seikei University (Japan).
- The RECOMP project (Research on Real Time Compliance Mechanism for AI), coordinated by Jean-Gabriel Ganascia (Sorbonne Université & LIP6), and involving Freie Universität Berlin (Germany) and Sokendai, the Graduate University of Advanced Studies (Japan).
