CoVACIEL 2025: Autonomous Car Race for BTS CIEL Students

CoVACIEL is an autonomous car race designed for students in the BTS Cybersécurité, Informatique et réseaux, ELectronique program (BTS CIEL).

Starting with a model car, student teams must make their car autonomous by adding embedded electronics and computing. At the end of the project, the autonomous cars will compete in races held in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

As a reminder, an autonomous car is a vehicle that moves through an environment without the intervention of a driver.

CoVACIEL is open to all BTS CIEL programs, both Option A and Option B.
The CoVACIEL autonomous car serves as a technical project platform for the E6.2 exam of the BTS CIEL.

CoVACIEL 2025

The first edition of CoVACIEL took place on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, on the Pierre and Marie Curie campus (4 Place Jussieu, 75005 Paris), in partnership with SCAI.

Autonomous cars from 14 student teams in the BTS CIEL program, representing 10 technical high schools from 3 different educational districts, took part in this first edition of CoVACIEL.
