Open Call for candidates to serve on the United Nations Independent International Scientific Panel on Artificial Intelligence
As requested by the General Assembly, the United Nations Secretary-General has launched an open call for candidates to serve on the Independent International Scientific Panel on Artificial Intelligence (“the Panel”), established by the General Assembly through its resolution 79/325.
The Panel will comprise 40 members, serving in their personal capacity for a three-year term beginning in 2026, and will play a key role in advancing global, evidence-based understanding of artificial intelligence (AI). This is a non-remunerated position.
