When educational innovation is built together, right on the ground
At SCAI-Éducation, we are convinced that the challenges of AI in education cannot be addressed from an office, but rather alongside teachers and students in their actual learning environments.
This is exactly what we experimented with alongside CAPSULE Sciences Sorbonne as part of the Master 2 in Biotechnology (Scientific Analysis unit).
🎯 What we did in practice: we designed and facilitated a workshop to help students adopt generative AI in an ethical, critical, and responsible way—without ever sacrificing the core values of higher education: scientific rigor, critical thinking, and intellectual independence.
Two co-created outputs emerged from this approach: → A usage charter defining a shared framework for AI use during the course → A reflective logbook to document, question, and analyze their own practices
Inspired by Design Thinking and Design-Based Research, this experiment chose co-creation over top-down rules. Practices are built collectively, through dialogue and experimentation.
Two highlights of our dissemination efforts: 📌 A feedback session presented at the CAFÉ CAPSULE (replay available soon in the Pédagothèque) 📌 A scientific paper presented at the EFFATA conference in Angers—a conference dedicated to transforming educational environments in the era of AI
A huge thank you to Paola Costa Cornejo, Sophie Louvet, Clotilde Chevet, and Marco Salazar for their commitment and trust.
The future of education will be built collectively. We are thrilled to contribute to it, one experiment at a time. 🙌
