Its mission is to become the showcase of Sorbonne University’s know-how in the field of AI and to be a gateway for both academic and industrial partners.

Vision
Management

SCAI is placed under the authority of the committee of members of the Sorbonne University Alliance.

Its institutional monitoring is ensured by an interdisciplinary steering committee.

SCAI is headed by Pr Gérard Biau (Director) and Dr Xavier Fresquet (Deputy Director).

It is supported by an Executive Committee of scientists from the Sorbonne University Alliance, each representing one of the centre's focus themes.

This executive committee defines and conducts the scientific policy of the center. It also has the role of ensuring and actively contributing to the scientific quality of the activities of SCAI.

SCAI also has an International Scientific Advisory Board, presided by Pr Raja Chatila, made up of recognized AI experts.

This scientific board monitors the overall activity and provides relevant insights into SCAI’s scientific policy.
